  • Prior to trip:
    Online call to go over gear, logistics and arrival info and FAQ’S.

    Day 1:

    • Meet your guide and group at the launch site for an orientation and safety briefing.

    • Paddle to Portland Island, taking in stunning views and marine life along the way.

    • Set up camp and enjoy a prepared dinner under the stars.

    Day 2:

    • Explore Portland Island by kayak and/or opportunities for short hikes and wildlife viewing.

    • Take in the peaceful atmosphere of this Portland Island, go for a swim and relax for the evening.

    Day 3

    • Paddle to Prevost Island, stopping for lunch along one of Salt Spring Islands iconic shores.

    • Continue to Prevost, set up camp and enjoy another evening of great food and company.

    Day 4:

    • Option to take a morning paddle or walk around Prevost Island.

    • Return to the launch site, wrapping up your adventure with new skills and memories.

    • Included:

      • Guided sea kayaking experience with an experienced, SKGABC certified guide.

      • All main meals (cooked as a group meal - can cater to dietary requirements)

      • Safety equipment (PFDs, pumps & towlines, whistles, and navigation tools).

    • Not Included:

      • Sea kayaks and paddles (rental options available for additional cost)

      • Personal camping gear (rental options available).

      • Transportation to and from the launch site.

      • Personal snacks (a suggested guide will be sent to you before hand to help you in preparing for your trip)

    • Suitable for beginners with no prior kayaking experience.

    • Moderate fitness required for paddling and basic camp setup.

    • Comfortable in the water / swims 15m comfortably.

    • Ability within group to help lift kayaks or gear on and off the beach.

    • Weather-appropriate clothing for paddling and camping. Expect all weather, including rain. This is BC after all!

    • Dry bags for keeping personal items safe.

    • Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses for sun protection.

    • Personal camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad).

    • Water bottle and personal toiletries.

    Gear list will be sent prior to trip.
